Synthesis of Hollow Three-Dimensional Channels LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 Microsphere by PEO Soft Template Assisted with Solvothermal Method

A appropriate size with three-dimension (3D) channels for lithium diffusion plays an important role in constructing high-performing LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathode materials, as it can not only reduce the transport path of ions and electrons, but also side effects withstand structural strain process repetitive Li+ intercalation/deintercalation. In this work, efficient method designing hollow LNMO microsphere 3D structure by using polyethylene oxide (PEO) soft template agent assisted solvothermal is proposed. Experimental results indicate that PEO make reagents mingle evenly nucleate slowly process, thus obtaining a homogeneous distribution carbonate precursors. final products, obtained decomposition precursor calcination provide abundant electroactive zones electron/ion paths during charge/discharge which benefits to improve cycling performance rate capability. The prepared adding 1 g possesses most outstanding electrochemical performance, presented excellent discharge capacity 143.1 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C retention 92.2% after 100 cycles C. superior attributed microspheres, uninterrupted conductive systems therefore achieve stable transfer electron/ion.
